CALL FOR ENTRIES The Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild (BRAG) will hold its 2020 Jr Art Competition online from November 5 - November 30, 2020. All members (1st - 12th grade) are invited to enter.
Deadline for submission: Thursday, October 29th (6 pm).
ELIGIBILITY Open to all artists grades 1st - 12th living in the Mississippi Counties of Amite, Copiah, Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike or Walthall
ENTRY RULES
• Students grades 1st - 12th are eligible to enter
• Maximum of 1 entry per artist
• Artwork must be original. (No copies allowed)
• Artwork must be current. (Completed within 1 year)
• Artwork must not have previously been exhibited in this or similar juried competitions.
*The Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild reserves the right to deny entry
REGISTRATION Pre-registration is required either online or by mail. You MUST pre-register no later than 6 pm Thursday, October 29th. Works will be accepted on a first come first served basis. There is no jury-in process, however you will need to send us an image for our online exhibit.

NOTE SIZE RESTRICTIONS: Artwork should be no larger than 36” in any direction and no heavier than 20 pounds.
ENTRIES Digital submissions can be uploaded to our website or emailed to [email protected]. Images should be between 1 and 3MB each. Label your images as follows: artist’slastname_firstname_title.jpg
(ex: smith_john_beachsunset.jpg).
Do not use the # or other symbols in the file name. You MUST change the actual name of the image file. Images CANNOT be named “image.jpg” or “fullrender.jpg” or similar – our database overwrites these images. If you email the images, you must include your name, contact information and the title, medium, value, and size in your email. All entries must be submitted by 6 pm Thursday, October 29th to be included into the competition.
Please be aware that the digital images you send should look as good as they possibly can. These will be the images that will be displayed in our online gallery. Try to photograph your image in natural light, that the image is straight and that there is no glare on glass or varnished surface. (It is preferable to photograph without glass.)

LIABILITY & INSURANCE
LIABILITY WAIVER I wish to have The Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild, (“BRAG”) consider my artwork for exhibition as indicated in this Registration Form, and I acknowledge that BRAG has the right, in its sole discretion, to choose the artwork to be exhibited. I also acknowledge that unrelated business or other activities may or will take place at the exhibition location during the exhibition and I assume any risk associated with such activities. I further acknowledge that I have been notified that I should carry my own insurance to be protected against loss, theft or damage to my artwork. I fully understand and agree that the following waiver, release and hold harmless agreement is binding on my heirs, assigns and legal representatives. In exchange for BRAG’s consideration of my artwork, I agree to assume all risks of copying, theft, loss or damage to my artwork in connection with BRAG’s decision to exhibit or not exhibit my artwork or in connection with the exhibition of my artwork, for the duration of the exhibition from and including delivery to BRAG, through and including pickup, and knowingly and intentionally release, discharge, hold harmless, and agree not to sue BRAG, its officers, directors, members, committee personnel, agents or owners and/or lessees of the premises where the exhibition is held (“Released Persons”) from any claim, that I may have or acquire in the future, arising out of my submission of artwork to BRAG for its consideration for exhibition, for BRAG’s exhibition of my artwork, or while it or I am on the premises where the exhibition is held, for, including but not limited to, copying, theft, loss, or damage to my artwork, personal injury, or death, whether caused intentionally or arising from the negligence of any Released Person, of any other person or any other cause, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Whether or not any artwork submitted by me is chosen for exhibition, I consent to The Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild’s use of any artwork I submit (or an image representing such artwork) in connection with BRAG’s communications to prospective members, members and the public. The artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Brookhaven Regional Arts Guild for any copyright claims arising from the display of his/her/their image.
